If you have more questions or i haven't been clear, lemme know. I have a text box (word art) with wording over a picture box and want to lock the two together so if you move the picture, the words go with it in the same. To ungroup, just click on the grouped picture, right click - Grouping - Ungroup. Click the picture, hold Shift, click the shape (to hightlight/select both shape.
Right click the shape again - Order - Bring to Front.ĭrag the shape to where you want it over top of the form/picture you converted. Now, click right click the shape, Format Autoshape - Layout tab and select 'In Front of Text' - OK
On the form that you converted to a picture: right click - Format Picture - chose the Layout tab and select 'in front of text' - OKĬlick on the space on your word doc out side of the picture (so you don't have the picture outlines/selected) and from the word menu, Insert - Shapes (the select your shape) and draw the shape into the word doc (out side the current picture) once the shape is drawn, hit the 'Add Text' button (upper left word tool bar)
You have to Use 'Shape' in order to do the below - NOT a text box.: Yes.but you actually don't want to use a text box for this.you want to first insert a 'shape (square or whatever) then press the 'add text' button to be able to type in it.
